Issuance workflow
The published CIM guide allows RA Managers, RA Agents (Advanced) and RA Agents to issue smartcards. The user's account must already exist. SRC-011
Published workflow outline
- Find the existing user and open their profile.
- Open Authenticators, then choose Issue smartcard.
- Choose whether to set a passcode or issue the card locked.
- Choose immediate printing or deferred printing.
- Prepare the blank card and printer for the selected option.
- Continue and check the issuance result.
A locked card needs a later unlock before use. Printing can be deferred; this is why printer availability and card issuance must not be treated as identical conditions. Follow the live guide for current screens and role requirements. SRC-011
Acceptance extends beyond the success message
For the planned operating model, record the card series, device path, printed result, relevant management outcome and subsequent authentication. Agree pass criteria with the RA service owner before testing. Keep cardholder data and passcodes out of this wiki.
The older equipment overview describes a Spine-connected computer, blank cards, a printer and readers. That wording alone does not establish a mandatory HSCN transport for the modern workflow. SRC-016
Use the acceptance checklist to record outcomes and operations to handle faults. Supporting claims are in the evidence matrix.
